Two French troopers have been killed in Mali on Saturday when an improvised explosive system (IED) hit their automobile, President Emmanuel Macron’s workplace mentioned.

In a statement, the French presidency mentioned the blast occurred late Saturday morning in Mali’s japanese area of Menaka.
